Miming a Life
Try to "climb into someone else's skin"
and imagine the situation that they're in.
Look at thw world from somebody's eyes
something almost nobody tries.
One might see something as red or blue
something you might see in a different hue.
Our lives are like books with a seperate end
Each of us has a message to send.
Why we wait makes me wonder
if we're scared to steal each other's thunder.
Ans most of us will never try
Remaining ignorant until we die.
That is why i have to say
maybe we should try a different way.
Perhaps we should attempt to take the time
So someone else's life we can mime
and understand what goes on in one's day,
finding what may cause one to go astray
Try to put yourself "into someone else's skin"
and imagine the situation they're in,
only then can we judge
and against one hold no grudge.

- Description: This year in English we were told to choose a quote from the book To Kill a Mockingbird and write a poem about it. "You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view - until you climb into his skin and walk around in it."- spoken by Atticus Finch, by Harper Lee, To Kill a Mockingbird. She gave me an A.
