• Think back to those hot summer nights,
    Lying in another arms,
    Basking in the afterglow,
    Shuddering from oppressed heat.

Where our bodies were still connected,
a wick of sweat blanketing us
    when nothing else was.

    Picture it.

    Remember the way my hands
    Ran down the contours of
    Your lush body.
    Strong shoulders, smooth skin
a broad chest to protect your
    Tell-tale heart, still beating rapidly.

    Our eyes would lock,
    Green on sunflower green,
While our breathing fell into a rhythm.

    You would exhale slowly
and I would breathe you in,
    taking you inside of me
    once again
    in a whole another way.

    A delicious moment of silence
    would always follow.

Then I would softly breath out,
    letting you take me in.
    Stealing my breath away
    like the moment we met.

    Like our very first
    kiss.

    Close your eyes and imagine
    the pads of my fingers
    exploring your lips.

    Dipping at the top,
    your tongue wetting my flesh
    making me tremble.

    Can you think back?
    Can you remember?

    Can you feel my heart
    as it sings for you,
    and only you
    forever?

Because I know I feel it.
I see it too, when I
    look in the mirror.

As I try not to too often.

    I see the pride reflecting,
    Need
    Safety
    Fear
    Hunger
    Trust
Caring that only a woman can feel
    for the man she
    Loves.

I see it in another mirror.
I can see it in your eyes.
I can feel it in your touch
    Your warmth
    Your kisses
    So tender, so careful
    as if I might break.

    I'm afraid of that too.

    Afraid that all I am
    is a wine glass.
    Filled to the brim with
    a most expensive
    and exquisite Merlot.

And you are the rich man,
the one every girl dreams of,
the one every wine wishes to
    be consumed by, holding me.

    Carefully.
    Tenderly.
    As if I might
    Break.

But as soon as the glass
    is empty,
As soon as you are done,
    I will be dropped.
    I will be shattered.

    And like humpty dumpty
    I will never be able
    To be put whole again.

    So as I wave goodbye
Through the window of the train
    Promises of love
    Promises of hope
    Promises of a future
    Are exchange
    Through our lips
    Through our tears
    And through our eyes.

    But our eyes also hold
    something greater than
    A Promise.

    Fear.

So if we are both so scared...
    If we both love...
If we both wish to spend every night
    Holding one another,
    Just like that first,
    surrounded by nature and the
    envious trees, blessed by our
    Earthly Mother
    on her grounds...

    Then don't leave.

Because I'm afraid of you going,

    Taking the last sip

    Turning the corner

    Letting me slip

    Turning away from my life

    And letting me

    Shatter.
