- I'm upstairs cleaning my room, using the broom. It's 8 o'clock, I'm all alone, waiting for my parents to get home. Over the edge of the staircase I peer, waiting to hear, the rings of the doorbell go ding. My telephone hasn't rung, their jackets aren't hung. I finally hear the telephone ring, i run to pick up the little thing, "Hello? Hello? Mom, Mom, dad are you there? I'm all alone!" I nervously said into the phone. "No sweetie, this is Dr. Drew. I'm afraid I have bad news. Please come to the hospital A.S.A.P." Dr. Drew said sympathetically. I hung up the phone. I'm only sixteen, what do I do? I got into the car; I didn't even put on my shoes! As soon asI got to the hospital I searched for Dr. Drew. She found me and said "Please come to my office- room #2." I followed her slowly, I tried not to run. "Sweetie, both your parents were shot by someone with a gun. I'm afraid they didn't survive." She told me in her office. I tried not to cry, I tried so hard, but tears welled up in my eyes. I ran to Dr. Drew and gave her a tight hug. I wanted to lie, and say I had a stomach bug, but it was to hard to hide my hug. Then I started to sob and cry. I was going to be a foster child for two years. Then I was shot, my eyes still welled up with tears. My life ended, but I met up with my parents. I depended on my parents to be there, now here they are- we're going to heaven.
