Avenue of the Lost. Figures.
I could rhyme with that
But some people might lose their hat.
She walks alone.
He knows he cares.
They had taken a dare.
But She knows it doesn't end there.
They both realize
That they've each chosen their own demise.
Because if one is gone,
Both of them dies.
She walks down with a pace very numb
Thinking that She couldn't be more dumb.
Her heart had been cradled in his arms
And when He is gone, off went the alarms.
She saw things dark.
For Him, She had left a mark.
It's pain.
It's gain.
It's lust.
It's dust.
They both walk
On the Avenue of the Lost
To each other, praying for mercy.
