Snowflakes falling from the sky
Landing upon the frozen lake
While the fish swim below
In the distance; a squirrel sleeps
In the comfort of its own tree
Surrounded by little brown acorns
A family of rabbits hide in the snow
Although they're frightened; they face their fears bravely
Awaiting the winter frost to leave
For some winter means rest; while others adapt
But soon winter shall be gone
And another season shall take its place
