• As the water trickles over stone
I cannot help but feel alone
I step along the rivers path
Over rocks and through the grass
    Following its very life
A tiny bed set in a line
Beneath the forest and into the land
    Not a single helping hand
It cuts through rocks and falls from cliffs
I do my best to follow it
But alas it goes too far
    I cannot chase it anymore
I look into the brightest sky
And cannot help but wonder why
Why does the water journey so long?
With only the company of its own song
The song of water over stones
I wonder if it feels alone
