• Thorn
    Eyes like shining rubies
    Wings as dark as coal
Scales as sleek and black as night
She acts like she can see into your soul
    You slide outside and hover
As you stare at space in fright
For when a shadow overcomes the moon
You know that its a child of the night

Deep in a cave a creature dwells
    During the daylight hours
The space is cluttered with bones
And the long-leaved stems of flowers
Oh this beast I love her so
She is a creature you fear to know
You see a skeleton and mourn
    When I say this dragon
    Is my Thorn
