I hate to say this,
but I live with a stranger.
One who was once a mother.
Oh what bother,
What bother to be both a mother and a father.
But only partially.
Not the same, I wish I could gain
more than goodnight goodbye.
My love is the same,
but not the two people it is for.
Two strangers, I go between two strangers.
One here, one there...feels like I'm everywhere.
Am I too a stranger to them?
One who was once a small girl, a daughter, with a twinkle in my eyes,
happiness within them
Now a strange young lady with a choice of her own yet cannot understand
such a demand
let me take my stand!
A stranger to those who love me so much
can it be true?
hmm,
My mother, my father
both filled with greatness
still strangers
not the same as it used to be.
will it ever be?
I love you mom and dad.
