• I watch her from the my graveyard
    And fantasized over the day
I’ll meet her at her bedside
    To take her life away

The first time I saw her
She was at her father’s side
She was the last thing he saw
    Before his body died

    Hastily I came
To collect the soul in question
I had no need for stealth
As I am safe from all detection

    She was only seven
    So young and naïve
But before I came to close
What she did, I can’t believe

She looked me in the eye
As no mortal has ever dared
    She caught me by surprise
    I was very Ill prepared

    But she was not frightened
As you’d expect a child to be
Her eyes were full of hate
And her hatred burned for me

Back then she was so young
    Her beauty untouched by time
With eyes that shone like diamonds
And black hair that trailed behind

    Since our first encounter
    Curiosity led me to follow
    For many years I watched
As her bones grew soft and hallow

    But she never acknowledged me
She never again met my eye
Though she’d often visit my graveyard
To remember how her father died

I know I don’t have long to wait
    As her body falls apart
For the girl with eyes of hatred
    Who stole my shriveled heart.
