Crushed velvet
Smothered in lace
Strewn with musky silk
A needles point lays in wait
Pins scattered on the ground
A lifeless form
Flowing and gray
Watches from afar
The light scent of perfume
And the roses in the window
Dusky light pours through
And sets dust dancing
A forgotten treasure
Works of art strewn ‘round
Look beneath the dresser
They’re there too
A whirlwind of dancers
Unseen inside their guises
Twirl across the floor
