• There was nothing ever sacred between us, after the day you told me the truth. There were a lot of uncertainties and lack of familiarities. You were someone I loved, but you turned into someone different. The love never felt the same, it felt charred and broken. It was no longer pure, or full of imagination. Instead it was replaced with fear and insecurities, a fear that we would lose each other, and a fear to get hurt. The pain was inevitable, but the part where we lost ourselves was not. I do not know if I understand the meaning of soul mate, or the definition of true love. I feel as though I lost more than a lover, I feel as though I lost a part of myself. Maybe I will regain myself back, when I learn that it was never meant to be. I simply must let go, and set myself free.
