• The Bone

I walked through a graveyard and saw a bone.
Just laying on the ground was this bone.
No owner I saw, just a bone.
I picked up the bone and claimed it as mine.

I left the graveyard with this bone.
Just to put it on my shelf for the bone.
To the house, I went with this bone.
Then I heard a voice say,
    “Give it back.”

I ignored the voice and held the bone.
Out for display was this bone.
To show my friends, I had this bone.

    “Give it back.”

To bed, I’ll go with this bone.

    “Give it back.”

On the shelf, above my bed,

    “Give it back.”

    I placed the bone.

    “Give it back.”

    I walked to the bathroom.

    “Give it back!”

    I sat upon the toilet.

    “Give it back!”

    I took a tinkle.

    “Give it back!”

I flushed and walked to the sink.

    “GIVE IT BACK!”

    I opened the faucet.

    “GIVE IT BACK!”

    I washed my hands.

    “GIVE IT BACK!”

    I looked in the mirror.

    “GIVE IT BACK!”

    I saw my face.

    “GIVE IT BACK!”

Suddenly the reflection became a zombie.
    She shouted,

    “GIVE IT BACK!”

    “FINE, TAKE IT!”

    I shouted back at her.
I went to the shelf and grabbed the bone.
I ran out of my house with the bone.
I ran back to the graveyard with the bone.
Placed back on the ground was the bone.

    Suddenly the bone vanished and
    I heard the voice say,
    “Thank you.”
