• These eyes shed light unto the past,
    Refracting off these shards of broken glass
    And painting backwards rainbows on the mast.
    An ancient vessel, bound to transcend Time;
    Shipwrecked upon an epoch ruled by solemn rhymes.

    The waters of the Ages wash aboard
    And flood the decks with all their somber lore;
    And 'til the sun doth clear the horizon
    This ship shall sink fore'er in Time's ocean,
    To which it's lost its foremast and its mizzen.

    When light of day doth shine its rays
    Unto the mainmast, bar the clouds and rain,
    These shards shall mend the broken bow
    And color shall return to steady flow;
    For 'tis the bridge that, solely, holds,
    And drives the helm in spite of all its woe.
