Your mind gives me life and my heart beats anew.
For this gift of existence, how do I thank you?
Now I am wondering just who you are.
You feel so close to me, yet so very far.
Through these different worlds our souls may combine.
Is this what I’ve been living for? This emotion divine?
I’m falling for this feeling, this security you give me.
I breathe and I feel because you will it to be.
Your eyes always watching with such tender concern.
Promise you’ll be mine, and I’ll give my love in return.
I feel at ease even though our ending is near.
For through your memories, I will always be here.
I will be the ache in your heart on a cold night alone.
I will be the shiver you feel that creeps among the bone.
Though our time is now over, I will survive.
Through the eyes of those like you, who keep me alive.
- Title: Alive
- Artist: Bedlight
- Description: I wanted to do something a little different from my usual black and white love poems. So I threw in a little twist and wrote one about the poem falling in love with the reader.
