• If I were an Angel, stranded here on earth,
I’d be hurt and I’d be tainted,
If I were an Angel, stranded here on earth,
I’d be hurt and I’d be tainted,
I’d not be the thoughts of what are.

If I were an Angel, lost upon the crowd,
    I’ve no need to worry,
I’ve no need for sorrow, I would not understand those feelings,
I’d be lost, I’d be fallen,
And as useless as I am now.

    If I were an angel,
I would not let you know,
walk around among the crowd, no questions to or what,
I’d be a swan in a flock of geese,
    knowing of those around me.

    If I were an Angel,
my wings would not be seen,
For if the truth was spoken, I’d then have to leave,
I would not for-fill my job,
I’d all bring pain from my faults.

If I were an Angel, there’d be reasons I am be banished,
I’d have fallen, I would have lied,
the angel with the broken wings,
the one wanting to be good again.

If I were an angel, I’d be useful at least once,
keep you safe and your sorrows thin,
I’d get my grace, my faith, my wings, all which one as of now,
If I were, I’d be there now, gone from my spot now,
Being somebody, one of true importance, one which is needed.

If I were an Angel, the earth would be dust,
I would fail my duty, fail my love,
for I would be the one to ruin.

If I were an Angel, I’d be the death of you,
I’d be the one, the outcast now, no-matter where I’m at,
I’d be no guardian, no scribe, no virtue in the least,
but a fallen who is laughed at.

If I were an angel, no one would see the light,
for if I was, none are to believe me,
Alone in the world, for once again, I was not right,
I did not do well as a warrior,
    Nor well as a human.

    If I were an Angel,
I’d of failed all the people,
    the ones in pain,
    the ones with sorrow,
I’d have been the one who did it wrong,
the one who let the whole world die.

That is why I am no Angel.
