She stood at the top
Looking down at the tide
Seeing it had moved out
Exposing the sharp rocks
The wind billowed through
Her hair like the wave
Trying to crash into
The rocks and hide them
My breathing began to flux
As the moonlight shown
The brine that was left on those
Rocks...
The current had sank further back
Offing the water further and further
Away from view.
Curious to when it would come back
Taking a deep breath
Letting the sea salt fill
Her senses, the wind picking up
Waiting for the sounds
Of the ocean to consume her
