Ok. I joined the KOS in their chaos branch about a few weeks back. Then, the guy who was original guild leader, DA [demonic angel] decided to leave the game giving his account and MB account to his cousin. So, he cousin takes it over leaving our guild making another one. Ok... I would understand that his cousin maybe isn't wanna walk into someone else's guild.. full of people who might not be ready to listen to a guy who isnt' the real leader... who wasn't with us for stuff. Ok... that's good and all... so he left, so then more left after that to go to his guild. Next, about a week or two later, leadership was being tossed around between the remaining three high level people. Well, two days ago, they called me to town and handed me the guild as is. Then, they all left. Chaotica was leaving because his wife recently started a new guild for herself. He went into it to support her and help run it as he had previous guild experience. This is fine and good. I'm still working on FoxproGT to join my guild.. and be my partner in ushering in a new era of a guild breaking the typicalness there and breaking stereotypes. We are coming forth boldly with ideas and long term goals. We aren't invincible or anything. If anything, we won't be considered very credible for a while because in their eyes i am still a low lvl at 42. To them, anything under 90 is a low lvl. This game has levels going up to like... 120 or 130. Anywyas, after 100, you can get "reborn"... you basically restart playing over.. but you get to keep all your xp skills... and you still have all yoru stuff... so, if you were smart and went to collect decent armor for your newborn self... you'll be ok. and, you can have your mates plvl you to 20 or something. whatever. thsi is all off topic. anyways..
two other guys left to join what is probably the biggest baddest most powerful guild on the server. Name? Snuggle Bunnies. :mrgeen: xd They are staying friends with me, and they say if anyone wants to mutiny or give me trouble. They will come and help. biggrin
So, after all this, suddenly people are leaving by the truckloads and asking to be kicked. Well, with this, I felt that it would be wiser to dismiss the branches and move all the existing active members from both branches into the main. We did this yesterday. Some people haven't logged back in yet. I am hoping we can catch them and prevent them from joining other guilds. I really have a lot of faith in teh people who are still with us. With everything that is going on, and now that the dust is settling from changes we are making. Some people have felt they aren't ready to face the things that have happened, and I let them go freely. I don't want anyone staying who does't want to be part of this. Also, we changed our name from KOS to KOTR. and, it's not knights of the old republic either. It's Knights of the Round. and.. if people reading that don't know what that is.. just ask in the FF forum. They will eat you for breakfast. lol yeah. originally, i was thinking crimson knights from the .hack series... but, we thought the knights of the round would be more fun because a lot of the policies and protocols i'm putting in place will be having an arthurian feel to them. I am using a "round table" system for our guild. It's all for one and one for all. We look out for those who cannot look out for themselves. We stand for justice. We will look after miners and noobies. We will do everything we can to help each other and other players have the best game experience.
Yes the game is PVP. Some people think I can't achieve what i'm after in a free PVP game; but i disagree. Yes, it will be challenging. But, I think there is a time and place for everything. A big place where pvp does fit in is in GW. Guild Wars. Every weekend, there is guild wars. All the guilds go to fight it out. They can buy statues and destroy them and stuff. But, you can pk other people and take their statues. i guess. .. don't know a lot about that yet. In any case, the reward for winning it is there is this place called the training ground where people go to work on various weapon skill proficiencies. or.. tao's go to work on spells. it costs 1,000 silvers to get in there. Member of winning team gets to use it for free, and all the 1k's paid to use it go into that guild's bank fund. That money is used towards buying stuff for guild wars, making branches, kicking people out. I hear in future versions they may allow you to build a guild hall similar to my home. Oh! This brings me to my next big point.
We upgraded our home. I'll have to post pics of our home at first. Then, I'll show what we got for upgrading it. ^^ so, in one week, we upgraded our home, and i became the head of a guild that was left in tatters. I am going to help everyone band together. We will rise up, we will gain levels, and people will have to recognize us. We will be counted for! so yeah. that's the speed of things now.
