Here It Comes
Part 14
"It will take courage, strength, will and persistance. Do you think you can do it?" Matt was standing on a crate in his basement in front of Nic and a few friends.
"Ya,ya."One of them said,"What's the plan already."
"Okay. First we need an envelope, we need to fill it with as much money as we can find, and make it look full. Then I will need one of you to rendezvous with the kidnapper and present him with them money. Do what he says, no matter what. We don't want anyone getting hurt. Then I will follow the man to his hide out and find Lindsey. I will be in Mr.Wallagin's yard waiting. As soon as I hope the fence, that will be one of your signals and you will then go and alert the police. And nic, you need to follow closely behind me. If I enter his hide-out, I don;t want to entering, I just want you to be close."
"B-but--" Nic stammered.
"No buts! This is my plan, which means I need to risk my life, not yours. Are you all in?" They all stood up and cheered.
"All right! Let's go save Lindsey!"

Everyone crept into their positions, poised and ready. Nic gave the signal to go ahead. Mitch stepped forward and whistled three times.
"Good. You came." A shadowey figure emerged from the bushes. He was dressed in all black and his face was covered with some sort of black make-up. He pulled a gun out of his pocket, but Mitch didn't flintch. He put the envelope down.
"Is all the money in it?" The man demanded. Mitch noded.
"Good boy... I want to you walk to your left and keep walking. Don't turn around or come back, or your in trouble..." The man said this as he shook the gun in his hand. Mitch started walking and did as the man told him to. He walked away a didn't say a word, nor did he turn around. The man chuckled and picked the envelope and began to run. Matt jumper over the fence and took off stealthly behind him. His heart beating in his ears, Matt looked behind him to make sure Nic was there. Nic nodded for reasurance. Matt kept going, ducking under branches, jumping over bushes, in and out and around trees; he had to get Lindsey home, safe and sound! Finally the man came to a sudden stop and ducked into a bush. Matt followed. He found a small hut made a concrete, a perfect hide out. Inside he heard muffled screams he had to hurry!
"What a bunch of fools. Do they not know I am going to kill you any way?" Lindsey was curled up on the floor. So this is the end is it? she thought, I don't want to die this way! I-I wish Matt were here... The man walked around her once or twice be fore he made her neal.
"This is going to be quick, but not quite painless." He snorted at her,"on three I will shoot. One....Two....Thr--" BANG! There was a larg noise that startled Lindsey, but she did not move. She didn't feel anything. Then a shadow loomed in front of her.
"You will not hurt her!" She wasn't dead! Lindsey looked up to her savior with tears streaming down her cheeks. Lindsey began to weep. Matt stood in front of her, facing her kidnapper, arms open wide shielding her. Matt had broken through the window and gotten through.
"Oh Matt! You-you came for me! B-but why?"
"Because I love you Lindsey. I always have and always will. Long ago I vowed to protect you, and I plan to keep that promise till the day I die, even if that day is today." Lindsey reached out and grabbed his jeans.
"I never thought...I never wanted this to happen... Please,"She began to studder,"please tell me this isn't the end..."
"How touching."The man said with a grimace,"But that doesn't change my mind. Now both of you will die."
"It's not worth it!" Matt yelled,"The police are coming to get us!"
"But I have time to kill one of you." The man bellowed. He pulled up his gun and pulled the trigger. There was a loud noise and Lindsey screamed. Matt toppled to the floor just as the police came in.
"NO! MATT!" Lindsey screamed! She crawled over to him and took him in her arms, like he used to do with her.
"It's gonna be okay baby... You're gonna be fine." Lindsey rocked him back and forth. Matt reached up and touched her face once more.
"Dont...leave me... I don't want... to die alone..."
"Youre not going to die! Stay with us!" The tears on Lindsey's cheeks dripped off and hit Matt.
"Just promise...me that... you'll stay... with me." He began to gasp for air.
"Okay okay! Just hold on! Please..." Matt's eyes began to close and he put his hand down.
"Matt... I-I Love you! Please don't leave me... I need you... You keep me living..." Matt closed his eyes.
"I...Lo-ove...you-u...too..." His head dropped to the side, his breathing slowed and he became limp. Doctors rushed over.
"Emergency! He has no pulse and is not breathing! Commence CPR!"
