Threads of Fate~ A Small Tale For The Wounded Hearts
When threads of fate and connections are broken, other strings will break as well... Strings of hope... Strings of security...Strings of faith... Rather than falling softly and silently, they come crashing down like rocks into a never ending abyss...
When the threads of love come into play... if the strings are broken, they will cause more than just pure broken ties... The soul and the mind collapse and despair takes over the conscious. You wonder why the threads that used to bind you and your significant other snap and cease to exist... Perhaps faith just decided that it would be time to separate and wait when the time is right to let a new thread grow back into place and be connected with the same or different thread that binds two hearts in one...
A wandering Mage comes across a small spring in the middle of the forest.
She bends over to take a look at her reflection... All she can see are the memories of what once was her love... The one who she opened up to and spoke every word with love and tenderness. But one day... He never returned. This female Mage wandered about, looking for her lost love... She waited for a few weeks... Soon after, she made a vow to keep waiting for him no matter what... As long as her heart holds on. Eventually after quite a long time...He came back. But as soon as he arrived, he only said, "Forgive me... I have been away for so long that I thought I would never see you again... Days and nights have only been filled with thoughts of you..."
The female Mage replied, "I forgive you... You came back! No longer will you and I be apart..." She smiled happily...but that smile turned to a melancholy frown...
"My dear... Because I have been away for so long and left you alone with no one to protect you... I do not feel worthy to continue to be by your side... You deserve someone who will be next to you at all times... Something I feel I cannot do for you..." The male Mage fell silent, so did the female Mage......
She tightened her hands into tense fists of sorrow and even a slight bit of anger... But she regain her calm demeanor and spoke softly yet firmly, " I care not for anyone else... Time and distance mean nothing to me, so long as you return to me and be together once again... No other can give me the love and sweet kisses like you... No one can compare to you."
The male Mage tipped his hat to her and bowed with such respect and guilt; Though he tried his best to hide his emotions, he felt as if all hope had left him... "Your kind words are appreciated very much... But that does not mean I will leave again unannounced..." He turned around slowly and walked a few steps, then glanced at her with slight grin full of sorrow... "I'm truly sorry... I want what's best for you... But you will always be in my heart...And I will always love you..." He waves his hand at her and runs off...
She was so shocked at the words he spoke before leaving her that no sooner did she burst into tears, feeling her hopes and her faith drain away at the echoing words trapped in her mind... She whipped some of her tears away and looked down at the ground. A white feather was left behind... Picking it up, she held it close to her and placed the feather on her hat along with the other one. That feather to her symbolized the hope she still had remaining... The ring he gave her was placed around a chain and into a necklace... Those two items symbolized her hopes and determination to continue to wait for him...
"If I deserve to be happy... Why are we not together...?" She thought aloud. Then... She realized her new purpose: "I will continue to wait. Wait till I can wait no longer and die from all the pain withheld inside my heart... I will seal my Oath with this Ring and Feather. For ever at all times, for ever at all times, Here, I'll wait for you..."
The female Mage looked away from her reflection in the spring and sighed to herself. Quietly, she recited her Oath to herself as followed:
~ An Oath of Love~
"Whether all hope is lost...
If all faith is dispelled...
No matter the cost...
I will wait 'till the end of time.
Thy shall not give up thine Hope
And continue to wander the lands
Without love or security...
Fate will not become an obstacle
Distance will not hinder us
Time will follow me as I grow old
Until death appears in front of my eyes,
Even He cannot stop my pilgrimage to find you...
Until you reply to my cries of loneliness...
Until I find the Star that guides my way to you...
For ever will you always remain in my thoughts and heart...
Never doubt or Abandon this Pilgrimage I lead to Find You...
An Endless Road...Will not hinder my love for you..."
The female Mage wrote her Oath and made a copy... She pocketed the copy and then left the original next to a rose in front of the spring, hoping her love will find it and return to her...~
In the end, some threads of fate cross again and it begins anew... Though that may not always be the case, Fate... Has a funny way of bringing two threads and binding them again...
