Today when I woke up this morning, I went to check on my baby puppy and to my dismay found a lifeless body that was once the very animated runt, Kabuki. Me and my best friend had found her when she was only a few days old. She even still had her imbillical cord attached and everything. We immediately picked her up and took her to the nearest Petco to ask them what we needed to do in order to keep her alive. The employees there instructed us on how to feed her with a bottle and what milk to use and to make sure that we helped her to relieve herself, because she was still too small to go on her own. So we took her home and cared for ever since. Just about three weeks we had her. Just yesterday, she completely opened her eyes and we couldn't have been happier! We thought that she was going to live and grow up to be a big dog. Just this morning we were planning on taking her to the vet, but that never happend. It was too late, she had passed when I was sleeping. She was the smallest little puppy that I had ever owned, but she filled me with a greater joy than I ever thought possible from a dog, because I'm a cat person myself. I loved her and I still do. She was my ray of sunshine when I couldn't even see my hand in front of my face. She was my little hellfire and my partner in crime. If I left anywhere, she came with me, no doubt. She brought happiness to all of those around her, but most importantly, she inspired me and gave me a new reason to live.
Kabuki died today, this morning before I awoke, but she lives forever in my heart and I will carry her for eternity with my soul. I love you Kabuki and I hope that you are in a better place.
