Basically...things are kinda crazy. But also not. I dunno. First of all...today was the final day of the state writing assessment...it's so easy really, but tiring. xD And also...Tesla, this cute girl in my orchestra class...we were talking today about stuff coming up. xD Well this weekend our debate team is at Kearney, and I wanted to go SOOOO badly! crying But it's an overnight tournament, and I'm going to be gone on Saturday to go see Amanda, my hair lady. xD I'm so excited, I love her. =3 She lives in Lindsey, about 40 minutes away, but she is the lady I always go to for my haircuts and dying it and stuff. I think this is a dye trip actually, so maybe I'll change a little. I should get scene hair. =P Hah, yeah, right...no way could I pull off scene. xD But there is this really cuuuuuute picture I have of this just cute cute girl with the cutest hair EVER...xD Maybe I'll go for that style. BUUUUT yes, so I'm getting way off topic! xD So, I can't go to the Kearney tournament because I'm getting my hair done. =P Then next week is parent teacher conferences, so Tuesday and Wednesday we get out of school early. Then Thursday is my orchestra concert, I'll go more into detail on this later...xD Friday no school, but I have to be there way early in the morning anyway, because we have speech and debate at North Platte, which is about 4-5 hours away. xD It's overnight, so Friday is speech events then Saturday is debate, then we get home really late Saturday...then Sunday I gotta be at the school in the morning so us Drama Club people can leave for Omaha, to go see Phantom of the Opera live! <3 It's going to be AMAZING.

So basically. Orchestra concert. We're playing 8 sorta musical/play pieces: Phantom of the Opera Theme (Phantom of the Opera), Fantasia (Disney's Fantasia), One Hand, One Heart (Westside Story), Themes From Carousel (Carousel), Highlights from Harry Potter (Harry Potter), Fantasia 2000 (Disney's Fantasia 2000), Don't Cry for Me Argentina/You Must Love Me (Evita), and Climb Ev'ry Mountain (The Sound of Music). It's going to be great. =3

And now debate stuff...xD My debate event is Lincoln Douglas. Right now, the topic is Resolved: That it is just for the United States to use military force to prevent the acquisition of nuclear weapons by nations which pose a military threat. For my AFF case, I'm using realism and the state of nature. All states in the world are individuals in the state of nature, without a government to rule over them all. Therefore, they all must be somewhat suspicious of each other, fear each other to an extent, and must do what is in their best interest to survive. My NEG is saying that we must uphold peace, because if we are at peace with other nations, there will be no need to use military force because there will be no threat to us in the first place. My cases have a lot of weak points at the moment though...I'm thinking of writing a new NEG using a criterion of Kant's Categorical Imperative, the end does not justify the means. I love Kant, he's a great philosopher. Truly moral actions stem only from moral means. <3

But yes. Finally, Phantom. It will be AMAZING. Tickets were what, $70ish? And we got to buy them for $15. Because Drama Boosters rock and got them cheap for us. xD And so now we get to go to The Phantom of the Opera, LIVE, at the Orpheum Theatre in Omaha. It shall be great. =3
