Has anyone noticed that technology basically runs our lives? One day I went to a resteruant, placed my order, and sat there quitly. After about an hour or so, I call over my waiter and ask what the hold up was. He replied, "The computers are down." I was thinking in my head WHAT!?!? What does a computer have to do with my food being made. It turns out tha the kitchen can't cook unless the computers tell them what to cook. Like most people I tip my waiter, pay for the drinks and leave.
Technology is a new tool for predators too, and no, not the ones who are shopping. Yes, everyday people are being watched by predators whether it be myspace, facebook, or any other form of chatting on the web.
Our lives, or most of our lives, revolve around the computer and it's internet glory. The only downside is that one day we will all be blind due to the constant hell of watching a screen and the lights all around us. I'm not complaining, wait, yes I am. We need to be careful and not let is run our lives as predicted by George Orwell's novel called 1984.
