The day started out cold and dreary. The rain came down lightly and it was warm but the wind had been blowing and it made the water cold to the touch. I was walking to my car with my umbrella over my head and reading a book. The rain fell over the sides of the umbrella and fell to the ground. I was wearing a light blue sweater since I already had on a indigo long-sleeve shirt. The jeans I had on kept my legs warm but occationally a burst of wind would come and give me chills.
A few steps away from my car was a man on the ground. He looked to be sleeping but another glance at him showed he was unconsious. His lips were blue from the cold so I did the only thing I could think of. I unlocked my car door and set my book and umbrella in the passanger seat and then opened the back door. I quickly went over to him and lifted him up. He was heavy but not too heavy and she had no hard time getting him inside. I laid him in the backseat and went to my trunk. A blanket was back there just in case it got really cold and I had nothing to cover up with but it looked like he needed it more than her. The trunk closed with a small pop and I went and put the blanket over the man who was now in my back seat. I closed the door and jumped inside the drivers side.
It didn't take me long to get home. I only lived about 10 minutes away from the club I had been to with some friends. Lucky for me I was on the bottom floor of the apartment building and it only took me a few minutes to get him inside. I set him on the couch and walked over to the heater and turned it on. I was dead tired so I took another blanket, this one a little heavier than the other blanket from my car, and placed it over him. He looked pale but at least he was safe from the dangerous cold weather. I turned the light off in my living room and went to my room. I went straight for my bed and fell onto it, falling asleep instantly.
