Gavin was practically skipping as he rushed back to his dorm. "She's the one, I knew it. Finnigan is gonna pay!" he said jauntily. He threw his books down on his bunk and rushed to his desk, where a litte gold coin layed next to a laptop. He picked up the little coin gingerly and whispered something. There was a poof of odd green smoke, and he was gone. Or so It seemed. There was a faint sound of his voice laughing left in the room. ----
Chartreuse was actually smiling as she entered Orchestra with her Violin. The Maestro goggled at her, since this had never happened before. All Chartreuse could think about was Gavin, and that piece of paper with, what she KNEW in her heart was, his cell phone number. Had he actually noticed her? How long had he known of her? Did he want to date, or was he just trying to make more friends? For once, she was optomistic. Finally, her luck was changing. Unfortunatly, the mood was ruined when she started playing...same old same old scales and other various string section warm ups. The bore got to her brain slightly before the Maestro announced that class was dissmissed. There would be a short break for Chartreuse before Calculus class started. She packed up, and sort of skipped up to her dorm, not afraid to call the number on the paper in her pocked. ------
Gavin was back in his room, counting out $200 that he had won in a bet with his friend Sean Finnigan, a Sophomore in this College. He had already packed for Calculus and was just waiting for a phone call. He had left Chartreuse with his phone number. He had a job to do, and needed to keep in contact with her. Human College made it simpler to get this job done. He began to sing the chorus of an irish folk song to himself.
If you're Irish come into the parlour, There's a welcome there for you; If your name is Timothy or Pat, So long as you come from Ireland, There's a welcome on the mat, If You come from the Mountains of Mourne, Or Killarney's lakes so blue, We'll sing you a song and we'll make a fuss, Whoever you are you are one of us, If you're Irish, this is the place for you! He laughed as he finished, and his cellphone ringtone played the song's melody. Gavin answered it. "Hello, Gavin O'Connell speaking." "Hello, Gavin." Said Chartreuse's voice. "Ahhh Char! Nice to hear from you, I'd hope you'd find the paper." he responded. "Well I was just wanted to make sure you knew I got the note." She said Shyly. 'She speaks so cute.' Gavin thought to himself and shrugged. Remembering his job, he spoke again. "Hey, um. What are your plans for Saturday?" There was a pause. "N-nothing m-much." Stammered Chartreuse. "Can I pick you up at 8? We can go to dinner or something." Gavin interupted in a joyful tone. "Y-yeah, sure!" Chartreuse said. "See you in calc! Bye!" She said and hung up. Gavin laughed outloud. "If I weren't a Leprechaun, I'd be one lucky human." He said, and laughed.
