No more you filthy Harry Potter fans, no more !! :gonk:
Okay, so I'm a filthy Harry Potter fan as well, but enough is enough. I WILL vomit if I see one more "OGMZNOSPOILERSWTFBBQ!@3"

I have finished reading Harry Potter 6, but before I could, some idiot ******** ruined the whole book by telling me how it ended. This idiot ******** was banned, along with alot of other trolls with the same purpose.

Now, there is this user, called " SnapeKillsDumbledore ". I find that having this name is disgusting, atrocious, and I want him banned / forced to change name for his ******** idioticity. Surely, this can't be legal!

This is getting pathetic. The book has been out for ages already. There will likely still be people who have not read the book a year or two from now, does that mean people can't openly discuss or randomly announce portions that are considered spoilers even then? neutral There are also people who haven't read the 5th book.. should people be punished for talking about how Sirius Black died? o_O If you don't want to have the ending spoiled then read the farking book before you go online. Being online is a sure-fire way to see SPOILERS and being on Gaia is an even faster way to getting your ending totally ruined.

So no. I don't think that the person with the spoiler-name should be punished in any way, shape or form for someone else's laziness. If someone has time to get on Gaia, they have time to read the bloody book. Good God. -"-

I agree with the OP.

Sure, she could just have avoided the internet altogether until she'd read the book completely through, but I don't think anyone should reasonably have to go to such lengths, and you can't always just brush it off when you run into a spoiler. First of all, there are simply too many trolls around, and when they all say the exact same thing, it's hard to deny. And even if you try to, you'll have it hanging over your head the whole time you're reading the book. There were also several who posted photos of the offending pages from the book.

I'm not saying that people can't talk about the spoiler, or that the specific user mentioned should necessarily be banned because of his name, but that posting explicit spoilers without warning and with the obvious malicious intent of upsetting die-hard fans should be discouraged.

You make it seem like it takes a whomping skull-full of brain effort to read a book. Really, how much computer time does it take away to read the book? Just a few hours. Anyone can read a book in a few hours (or a day or two if you really are that slow). I think it's hilarious that people are taking the "spoiler" thing so seriously. Especially when Harry Potter is so predictable. I can even tell you what's going to happen in the next book, but heavens no I dare not say for the rabbid and mighty wrath of the HP fans might smote me. x_x

Ah--and you know what is sad? The title of this person's thread is WARNING! Harry Potter 6 Spoiler inside! and here is an example of how moronic the majority of Harry Potter fans are [indeed, I am ashamed at times]:
