AAAAUUUURRGGHH!!
My friend is driving me crazy, jerking me around like this. I seriously am wondering if she is bipolar, because the only other time I can remember a person acting this way was with a friend who we knew was bipolar. We're doing this summer job, and she really hyped it up, saying we would have all kinds of fun and it would be great, and the pay is pretty good for college students (that part is true). Literally nine times out of the ten we have gone out (the job involves a lot of walking), within an hour she has gone from okay mood to surly b***h, whining and complaining about everything, getting mad at me when she gets confused because she didn't listen the last time I answered a question she had, and generally making me miserable by the time we're done. I can work for $3 less per hour at a job where I never get that kind of treatment, but I do get longer potential hours and probably make more money and definitely come home happier all the time. And it's a job I like doing.
I'm kind of mad at myself because I'm such a sucker for my friend's pleading "I can't do it without you" or scared into submission when she gets her "oh, it's on now!" face. I am sorry that the job didn't work out the way we both hoped, but I really don't think it's for me, and she doesn't want to consider it, or hear about it. If I don't start talking though, and she doesn't start listening, this is going to come to a head and I don't think it's going to end well...
