I know its been a while. Here is the newest saga, if you care to read.

The hubby came home from work and thought he saw a cat on the bar. He looked over, about to beat the cat silly, and saw nothing. He went about his business. After a while, he heard scratching noises coming from behind the bar. Then, fast as lightning, a woodpecker about 14-16 inches in stature sprang to life! He was flying around banging into both front and back windows and pooping everywhere! The hubby got a blanket, cornered him, and caught him...........eventually xp . He threw the bird out the dog door and he flew away looking none worse for the ware. When I got home I saw feathers and poop everywhere! One feather I found was about 8" and had an orange quill with beautiful brown and black designs on it. Very pretty 3nodding .
No one will ever know excatly what happened here but, here is my guess:
Our 20+lb cat brought the woodpecker in through the dog door, the bird played dead until the cat got tired of it, then sprang to life when the hubby got home rofl . A couple days later while I was doing laundry I found another amazing thing eek . Apparently the bird was not the only one pooping in my house that day? I found a pair of the hubbys underwear mrgreen . That bird scared the s**t out of him, literally! lol!
