Miracle the rat:
About 5 years ago we saw one of our cats on the driveway with, what the hubby thought was, a mouse. They looked so cute. They looked like they were playing together smile . We took pictures blaugh . After we figured out that the "thing" was actually hurt and didn't want to run because it knew the cat would chase it, the hubby said that he didn't think it would live. I had to go pick up Trinity from school. I told him to "deal with it". "Just kill it", I said. Now, after telling you about the bird stories, I realize I should have taken charge ninja . However, I went to get our daughter from school. The hubby called me and said he really didn't think "it" would live. Whatever! I told him to "take care of it". I guess he took my oven mits and some tongs, went to grab it, brought it into the house eek , and flushed it down the toilet? Apparently, the thing had more life to it than he knew 4laugh . That thing swam up against the rising current and refused to go down rofl ! At this point the hubby decided to take the oven mits and tongs and get it back out of the commode surprised . What he did here is priceless 4laugh . He brought the thing to the backyard. This is where the dogs are, by the way rolleyes . He tried to feed it surprised ? The dogs found it first. lol! The "thing" found its way under the pool cover for refuge. By this time I was coming home with Trinity. She was all, "We have to help him! We have to SAVE him!" rolleyes . I grabbed the old lizzard tank we had and scooped "it" up. We actually had a heated rock in it and everything neutral . Trinity decided to call "it" Miracle 4laugh . Look at what it has been through already, right? Once we got it in the lizzard tank I got my first good look at it. It wasn't a mouse. It was a flipping RAT! Full of disease, I'm sure! I knew right then and there that we had to get rid of it. Trinity was around 6 or 7yrs old and wouldn't have it! We had the stupid thing in the lizzard tank for about 2 days. The day came that we told her we had to let it go. We were going to bring it to the park where "it" could go back to its family blaugh . She was ok with this part. Trinity had a friend spending the night that fatefull day. We put that "thing" in a brown paper sack (who knew how much life was still in it eek ) We all brought it to the park, including the dog 4laugh . I had the dog on a leash and the hubby, Trinity, and her friend were going to release "Miracle" to its home land. When they released it, and it was scampering away, the girls were so pleased with themselves 3nodding . All of a sudden a big ol' hawk came down and grabbed it! rofl We all sat in stunned silence, even the dog, while Miracle and the hawk flew away.
I'm sorry, but think about it?
A day in the life of "Miracle":
I woke up, went looking for food, met a cat that really messed me up, got picked up by some tongs rolleyes , went for a swim rofl , got attacked by dogs, and got put in a glass box for 2 days? WTH? Then, I was put in a dark bag, got released to my home land and...............?
I think memory failed him at that point rofl . Some miracle, ey? lol!
