I don't know if you have read about the woodpecker story that just happened 2 weeks ago or not. If you havn't, please read that first.
Today, I was just talking with a new friend and an older friend here in gaia. We were doing a puzzle together and having a great time. I had been home for over an hour and the hubby had been home about 30 minutes. The hubby went to grab the atlas guide from the bookshelf and saw a large crow sitting in there just looking at him eek . The hubby was trying to be very calm as he told me what the deal was. This is a very hard task for him, as he tends to freak out at times blaugh . I was here, chatting in gaia when he told me, very calmly btb 4laugh , what the deal was. I didn't believe him at first because I know how he usually is. I guess the woodpecker incident has him pretty trained by now rofl . He told me to get a blanket and walk very slowly back to him. He had his back to the bird. After I handed him the blanket, he turned very slowly to the bird and got it. I opened the door and he let him go. His wings seem fine, but I think he might have broken ribs. He tries to fly, but pulls the wings right back in.
You would have to know me a little better to know how much I hate birds! Owls, eagles, and hawks are cool. Everything else can just go to someone elses yard, to my way of thinking. And I certainly don't want them talking to each other at 6:00am gonk .
Anyway rolleyes , I killed a crow about 8 years ago. Not a good idea. I had every crow from Spokane to the beach here in my trees having a wake or something eek ? It was crazy! And for the next 2 years every crow around was being mean to us? They would fly down and try to peck at my daughter twisted ! I knew if I was going to do something with this wounded crow I would have to do it privately wink . The hubby left to get our daughter and told me to just deal with it. He wanted to actually help it question . I said I was all over it, and it would be gone by the time they got home. Here is when it gets stupid.
I have a bad hip, so I wasn't about to jump the thing and wrestle it to the ground. I had "provisions" 4laugh and was going to corner it. It found a small hole in the fence and went to the neighbors yard. Good thing, right? No! It came back surprised . WTH? I tried to get it again and it went back to the neighbors. I put up a block so it couldn't get back. It is still just sitting there. However, whatever happens now...............will be in my neighbors yard rofl . Hopefully his posse won't be mad at me biggrin !
My next journel entry will be about "miracle" the rat rofl .
