Arcadia Festival of Bands.
A long name, but a good one at that.
Our last fieldshow. Our last parade.
It filled me with pride when we went to Citris College and hear people yelling "It's Arcadia! It's Arcadia!"
Hell, it even make me smile when I heard "Arcadia! You're Huge!"
This year started out slow. Then, it gradually improved. We may not have placed the way we wanted to, but by the end, we really won. Our fieldshow blossomed from a messy tune, to a complete fieldshow.
We worked through all our disadvantages. Our white shoes. The white stripe on our pants. The four hundred people out on the field, all collectively traveling toward each other. The fast pace and small intervals.
Against all odds, we managed to score an 87 on our last competition. 87 out of 100. That is amazing for our size.
Sure, we lost to other bands. But the majority of them don't have white shoes. They're half our size.
All in All, I'm proud of my band and I'm sad to see another season gone. The seniors will soon leave and a new generation will take their place.
We are the best band.
As said by a marching instructor who will, sadly, not be returning next year.
And that, is something that I believe.
