Am I becoming a bitter, bitchy oldbie? I usually welcome change into the Gaian community, and with the release of the advanced profiles, I thought this time would be no different.
Until I noticed that they had included a wishlist feature.
It's a neat feature, I guess, and I'm particularly interested in how those new and unavailable items got on there... but as a Mini-shoppe veteran, I'm worried. How will this generic copy of the product that I've been pushing for over a year affect me and other dedicated (and new) shoppe owners?
I kind of see this development as a bit of a stab in the back. After nearly a year and a half of selling wishlists, I fear that this will steal a large portion of the Gaian consumer market from us, the mini-shoppe owners.
And despite the gold I stand to lose, there's also the nostalgic part of it.
I mean, I got where I am in Gaia by selling wishlists, along with other graphics and art. But wishlists were my main product, my signature item, and they even got to be quite popular! I sold hundreds of wishlists (as 200+ pages of my old shoppe can attest to, and note that I didn't start recording sold wishlists until months after it's opening) to save up to buy myself an OMG... and then a Nitemare Scarf. That mini-shoppe, those wishlists, started me on my way to become a respectable, self-sufficant Gaian.
Was all that time spent for nothing? Does Gaia really feel the need to steal that from us, due to the few Gaians too cheap and lazy to spend 500g to get a wishlist made?
It really pisses me off. My craft has been stolen from me.

I wouldn't worry. Your works are pieces of art. Gaia just gave us a cardboard sign and a black marker.
