How Can You...

How can your love be so wonderful
when their's was so brutal and painful?
How can you be so different
when they are all the same?
How can your words have so much meaning
when their's were lies?
How can your hugs be so gentle and carring
when theirs kept me there?
How can you let me be free
when all they did was keep me chained up?
How can you love me
when they ended up hating me?
How can you mean it when you say "I love you"
when you do believe me when I said it back unlike they did?
How can you live
when you have me as your reason to live?
How can you say you care
when they don't?
How can I believe you after all they've done?
