'Twas the night before Christmas,
and all through my place,
a smile was seen,
on every face.
The gifts had been given,
we felt holiday cheer,
we'd soon meet again,
for the new year.
Among us here still,
Shense, Suki and I,
Gar, Sput and Glace,
I still wonder why.
I stared at the window,
my heart was still racing,
they carried on,
ignoring my pacing.
My gifts remained unopen,
my mind simply away,
emptiness upon my face,
my head filled with dismay.
My heart was still heavy,
I let out a sigh,
they stood by still,
I still wonder why.
They stay to accompany me,
yet I stand here and mope,
treating my friends like this,
I feel like a dope.
"Are you going to open them yet?"
a voice from behind,
said nothing did I,
my tounge in a bind.
My thoughts lingering still,
I turned to face,
a small pile of preasents,
all covered in lace.
I forced out a grin,
my body still tense,
I looked at the lable,
with love from Shense.
"I'm sorry guys,"
I tossed as I said,
there was one thing I wanted,
right now I was dead.
There were suddenly clicks,
from above and abound,
defensive positions we took,
a startle from sound.
Soot fell slight from the chimney,
we ready to attack,
down came a fat man,
with his plump sack.
Shaken was he,
to see us like that,
he slighty shook,
and wobbled his fat.
We all relaxed,
and normal did turn,
with no fire a lit,
he did not burn.
He reached in his sack,
and proceed his job,
snarfed down the cookies,
"Man what a slob."
He gave us our gifts,
glancing back at each stare,
he then touched his nose,
and flew up like air.
Opening, amazed,
to see what they got,
except bitterly me,
I did care not.
Shense got a bite mask,
Suki one too,
Glace got a sweater,
a deep kind of blue.
Gar got a book,
on dating advice,
a pair of earrings for Sput,
"Man these are nice."
I sighed and I turned,
tossing it too aside,
to say I was happy,
was to say that I lied.
I watched him fly,
until out of sight,
I almost could here him say.
"Merry Christmas to all, and all a good night."
and all through my place,
a smile was seen,
on every face.
