I let out a meager sigh, as I sat silently in my office. The army had pulled through yet another simple victory. With the commander, head of the beast if you will, taken out, the army, body of it didn't know how to act, move, or even think. With heavier training regulations, and mind numbing stratagies being memorized, the army is becoming self-sufficient. They are still employed to use harsher tactics, if inevitable. My friends have all but, vanished and I find myself alone more and more.... This is not what I wanted... Why would they take a cellphone... If they didn't plan on answering any calls... I sighed again, knocking a pile of paper work into the floor. The only contact I occasionally have is with the mysterious pair of vampires, who visit now and again... The only bit of company I seem to have left.. But, even they seem drifting.... And here I am... talking to myself.... I let out a slight chuckle, then drifted into a recent memory....
I had awoken in the middle of the dark night, finding myself alone in my bed.. How unnatural it felt... As if I was in a stranger's bed, house, and body... Not even of the sound of the wind blowing against my window... And I felt alone.... I pondered, if... If anyone has ever felt such away... I'm sure someone has before..... That must be what makes us the same.... We all have feelings, whether we are impassive sheep or not... We all have a soul, though faint... We all exist, but do not...... We are all human, yet... I let out a mumble.... Either my words, are full of truth.... Or perhaps I am but, a rambling idiot...
There is no way of telling... I smiled to myself as I set the papers back on my desk and began working once more....
