I was once alone
my hair fell limp and lifeless
my eyes held circles to dark to blame on the lack of sleep
My lips which once help laughter, held nothing
and my heart was cold as the winters frost
I was once in pain
Every laugh i heard brought tears
Every touch brought shivers
and still i waited in pain
i thought she would come
and save me from my numb
But when i knew what one more drink would do
i ran to her, i called her name
i begged for her to hold me, to love me once more
And when i was a step away from death
a drink away from death
a pill away from death...
i saw her
her eyes the most exhilerating
her smile the most life giving
and when i once had nothing
now... ive got everything
