FEAR


They live in fear. Fear for themselves, and the ones they hold dear.
Stolen from their homes, in the middle of the night.
Taken, imprisoned, in hell on earth. Far from salvation’s sight.
Killed by the hundreds, a strange stench in the air. The burning of flesh, the burning of hair.
Loss of their loved ones, whom death has claimed. The destruction of people, people without names.
Starvation or death, the only two choices.
The only sound we ever hear, are the dead, and their voices.
Marched through the cold, do what we were told. Travel through the night-time black.
Wearing nothing, but a light weight sack.
We are all that’s left. The rest are all gone.
The only hope we ever get, is from the breaking of dawn.
In the middle of the day, it was here, we were to stay.
Our captors took off, and went their own way.
The looks on their faces, denial and fear.
The result of all this fighting, was finally clear.
Our saviors wre coming, to take us away. And give us a home, a warm place to stay.
We’ve done it, we’ve made it, the battle is done. After all we’ve been through, we’ve finally won.
