Valentines Nightmare

A burning in me, a fire in my soul.
Just looking at her, makes me feel whole.
A warmth grows in my heart, from just a simple hug.
The fire of love tonight, will keep us both snug.
Talking, cuddling, by an open fireplace.
Nothing can drive the cold away, like a lover’s embrace.
Keeping me safe, all wrapped up in her care.
Protecting me, from the cold winter air.
Huddling together, lost in each others eyes.
Just letting the world go and pass us by.
Nothing else matters, except this moment in time.
Just being with the one, who will forever be mine.
A candle lit dinner, our romantic little feast.
The grow care we have for one another, just cannot cease.
The girl of my dreams, being here with me.
So beautiful is she, you would just have to see.
Alone, snuggling, just sitting there.
The girl I was holding onto, disappeared into thin air.
The candles, the fire, all suddenly gone.
Alone without anyone, isn’t where I belong.
I can see her, yes, walking into the black.
My heart then broke, because she was never coming back.
I can only sit in the snow crying, as she slowly walked away.
So much for my perfect Valentines Day.
