Finished Trigun this morning. It surprised me by being really good. Sure, some of the animation wasn't the greatest, and some of it was kind of meh, but the overall way of drawing the story together and the message of it I liked.
At my practicum, I did ALL the holds lists (for non-fiction, fiction, DVDs, CDs, young adult, children's, etc.). (Holds lists are books pulled from the shelves to be sent out to other libraries.) Then I went down to the children's section and watched a "threes" story hour - intermixed activities and books and singing. I had a talk with both of the children's librarians filled with tips on how to do a good story hour. Then I brought another lamp down from the second floor in our never-ending attempt to create more light in the new non-fiction section. I spent the rest of the day doing an inventory of the non-fiction DVDs. I also pulled the ones that weren't in the most recent security cases and put them into the new security cases (until we ran out of new DVD cases, that is). The son of one of the librarians who is "volunteering" until he can find a job helped me with the DVDs.
