Alone
Chapter 13
My eyes groggily opened as the sun danced upon my face. My body was cuddled up in the covers in a very comfortable position. I hugged the blankets, not wanting to move an inch. For me, it was times like these which I wished would never end.
Suddenly, it struck me. I wasn't at home. I sat up and allowed my eyes to scan the room. Only then did I remember the previous night's events.
Pulling away the covers, my feet slid to the side of the bed, & there they dangled. I noticed that I was still in yesterdays clothes, but I didn't have any other clothing, so I just shrugged it off.
A knock awoke me from my thoughts. I got up and unlocked the door, already knowing who it was.
"I see you're awake. Want breakfast?" questioned the boy, which confirmed my guess.
"Uh, sure Jason..."
"So, what'd it be? We have cereal, eggs, toast, waffles, & whatever else I can find in the kitchen."
"Cereal." I replied, bluntly.
"Alright, follow me." His hand motioned me to follow as he walked down the hall.
I sat on a kitchen chair, a bowl of Lucky Charms in front of me. My spoon poked around in the bowl, lifting out a spoonful of sugary cereal. Jason smiled at me, causing me to give him a wierd look.
I can't really blame him though, because it was a wierd sight. I was sitting there, hair uncombed, yesterdays clothes on, and a bowl of super sugary cereal in front of a girl who beat two people up. To most, it'd be a normal sight, but to me and him, it was just plain wierd.
My spoon picked up the remains of the cereal and a chewed it throughly. Jason had already finished his and sat waiting patiently.
"So, wanna do anything today?" He asked me.
"Wait, what?!"
"Well, you are over and it is a Saturday." He bargained.
"So... I have things to do.." I replied, attempting to get myself out of it.
"Oh? What exactly?" answered Jason, seeing right through my lie.
"Well, uh... I haveto... um..."
"Nothing, right?" He said, smirking.
"Uh..." I stuttered, dumbfounded.
"Oh c'mon, It'll be fun! What else are you going to do? And you do owe me one."
I realized I couldn't win and gave in. Jason seemed to have a gift of getting me to do things, which was wierd. He grabbed my hand and dragged me out the door, my hair still a mess.
