I never saw me and Spiro together. We used to be just like brother and sister, always annoying each other and getting in the way. I sat on the porch and remembered when we went swimming...
Spiro jumped from the rocks and scared the hell outta me. We started splashing water into each others faces. Then we finally stopped playing and sat on the side of the pond.
"You ever kissed a guy?"
"Sure... Lots of times..."
"Hard to believe... A little girl like you couldn't have known that many guys..."
"I'm not a little girl!"
"You are to, Andy! You're a little girl and you don't know what you're doing!"
I was nearly heart broken when he said that to me... So, he was 2 years older than me. It wasn't by that much. We eventually cooled down, and actually started talking again.
"I'm sorry for saying that to you. It was uncalled for."
"It's fine... Spiro, I wanna know you."
"You already do."
"I wanna know you more."
"What do you wanna know?"
"What are your hopes?"
"My hopes... Well... I hope that your boobs get bigger and you grow a butt!"
"Spiro!" I tackled him, and forced him to say sorry.
Not so little now, huh?

I repeated that in my head over and over again. "Andy?" Great, now I'm hearing things. I think I need therapy. "Andy?" I turned around and there stood my mom. "You wanna go to church with me or your father?" Chruch: For my mom, getting dressed up and going out to Sunday school. For my dad: Fishing out on the lake. No suits, no bible. My church. "I think I'll go with dad." She kissed the top of my head and left to go get my "church" clothes.
