"Eh? Moatoob? Why?" Ami asked. "You remember about the gates Emelia was talking about? Well, they are the keys to stopping the Seed. Since the Unification Point is getting closer, we are going to the frontlines to stop the Seed from getting to the gates. Everyone is making a unified effort to make sure that nothing stops the gates from activating." Ami nodded. "I understand. When do we leave?" Emil replied, "First thing in the morning. So do your shopping before heading off to bed. We have a tight schedule." Emil looked away slightly. "Ami, what I said earlier. It may have been the truth, but I shouldn't have shouted at you like you were still my pupil. You are now a comrade." He took off his glasses and began to clean them. Emil looked surprisingly young when he didn't have his glasses on. Which made Ami believe that he was just getting gray hairs due to stress. "But I've watched you and Kyoh grow during this journey, so it's hard to let that go you know." Ami smiled. "It's fine. Don't treat me any different. I did mess up and I admit that. I'll just be more careful the next time. I promise." She gave a salute. "Now I must be on my way. Until tomorrow Emil." Then she eased out of the salute. "It feels a little weird to call you Emil you know?" Ami soon left.

"Well, it's certainly has been a while." said Kyoh. Ami and Emil had arrived at the base in which they would be holding off the Seed. Beside him was Ethan. "Yes it has," said Emil, "I trust that you are doing well with your training?" Kyoh nodded. "Yes, Matoob provides some good training." Ami kept glancing around the area. "What's wrong Ami?" Ethan asked. "Where's Hyuga? I could have sworn that he would be here with you." "Oh," Ethan explained, "he had a different mission. So he's with Maya." Ami looked down. "Oh okay. Anyway, so we just make sure that the Seed don't get close to the site right?" Emil nodded. "Correct. At least long enough so that the gates here, Neudaiz, and Parum are activated in unison with the time of the Unification Point." Then, a Cast with pink hair and wearing blue appeared towards the group. "Mister Waber, it is time that we get to our block." "Oh right Lou. I guess it's time for me to go." "Take care." Kyoh said. "Yeah, and good luck to you guys too." As Ethan and Lou left, Emil checked his map. "We should get going to our block as well. You two do have your flame based weapons equipped right? What we are going against have ice attributes." Ami switched to her flame-imbued twin daggers while Kyoh got a flame-imbued saber. "Ami, you're on support duty. Do not take on any larger enemies. You specialize in twin daggers and with those enemies, it's just better that you don't attack them at all." Ami nodded. "Roger." Then Emil looked at Kyoh. "Kyoh, you and I will double team on the larger enemies. We can stun them at least." He nodded, "Got it." Ami got out her staff and performed Shifta on the party. "Lets get going."
Once they went through the door, a few creatures affected by the Seed were already waiting for them. Ami started to attack the smaller ones while Emil and Kyoh attacked the larger enemies. As soon as they defeated one enemy, two more showed up in it's place. "They really are unrelenting." Ami commented while slashing at an enemy. "I told you that they are trying to make sure that we miss the Unification Point." Emil said, moving on to another enemy. Ami jumped out of the way of an attack and bumped shoulders with Kyoh. "Hey, that was not nice." he said. Ami got to her handgun and fired a few shots at her target. "So, you've been on the Colony all this time right? Seen you know who?" Ami's face turned red. "Sh-shut up. I should choke you right now for what you told them." "What!? I thought you were over it." Ami shook her head. "I am, I think." They had finished their enemies and went on to help Emil with his enemy.
After a few minutes of fighting, the group had finished their block. "Where next?" Emil checked his commlink. "We need to go back to the base and meet with the others." As they walked Ami thought about what she said. 'I think I am...What was I going to talk to him about anyway?' Emil looked back. "Ami, you're lagging behind!" "Coming!" she shouted. 'That's right, I wanted to talk to him about what Kyoh said, about me having, er had, a crush on him. Argh! I'm still so confused about the matter.' Once they arrived, Ami looked around the group. There were various Guardians and members of the AMF, but not Ethan's group. Kyoh pressed a button on his ear. Ami heard the familiar click, Kyoh was going to contact Ethan on his commlink. It beeped a couple times before he picked up. "Yeah? " "Where are you guys?" Kyoh asked, "Everyone is back at the base except for your group." Then there was some silence. "We did make it back, but then we recieved a distress signal from a member of AMF. We decided to go. We shouldn't be too long. " "What?" Ami said, "They even left out one of their members." Then she sighed. "Don't take too long." The three shut off their links. Ami looked around again. Then she saw a AMF Cast standing near a gate. She strided over there. "What is she thinking?" Emil asked. Kyoh's eyes widened and then he started to go after her. "She's going to 'talk some sense' into them." Emil then realized what he meant and started to go after Ami as well.
She finally made it to the AMF member. "Hey!" she shouted. "What do you think you are doing?" The cast just ignored her. "Oh! So treat everyone who isn't part of 'your superior race' like crap and you abandon one of your own! That's just cowardice." The cast finally looked in her direction. "If we were to go after the signal, then we would suffer more casualities. It's a lost cause." "Lost cause!?" she shouted. Then she stared at it. "Let me tell you 'sir'" she said, while poking at his armor. By now, the entire group was staring at the two. "That 'lost cause' as you call it is being saved by my friend." "Typical humans. Instead of going with the logical decision, you risk your lives for unnecessary things like emotions." Ami balled up her fist. By then, Emil and Kyoh had arrived. "What the hell are you talking about? It's because of those feelings that we become strong." Emil came from behind and hit Ami in the head with his harisen. "My name is Emil Prescott. I apologize for what my former pupil has said to offend you. She should understand that our practices are different than yours and we respect that. Isn't that right Ami?" Ami pouted and looked away. "So help me now, if something happens to them because of your 'logical decision' not even the Divine Maiden can persuade me. Hell, not even the mightiest Seed will be able to stop me."
Emil tugged Ami by the collar and dragged her away to a secluded area. "What the hell was trying to do, picking a fight with an ally!?" Emil shouted. Ami was surprised by the sudden tone of voice Emil had. "It's wrong. No one should leave their ally behind." Emil pushed Ami against the wall and pinned her. "And what hope did you have in trying to change them. They are not like us. Cast can be rebuilt. That's why they have no issue with leaving one behind." Ami stared at him, with determination in her eyes. "So if I was a Cast, would you leave me behind?" Emil became silent at that. He closed his eyes. "No, because you are my pupil. No matter what you are, you and Kyoh will always be my pupils first and foremost, then my allies." He brought Ami in for a hug. This surprised her. "Emil?" "I shouldn't do this." he said, "But, I've watched you two grow since I was assigned to you. You guys are like my children now." He let her go. "Their ways are different. Just like there are different cultures. We may not agree with them, but we must respect them." He started to walk away. "I will get that Cast's information and you will write a formal apology to him. Hopefully, I can negotiate that with this condition, the event can be forgotten." Emil then looked up. "It's starting." Ami looked up. She saw three lights shooting into the sky, one from Parum, one from Matoob, and the final one from Neudaiz. Then the lights met and formed a bright blue beam. It blinded them all for a moment, then it quickly disappeared.
Emil was silent as he checked his commlink. He showed the simplest of smiles. "It's done. There is no more Seed." Ami's eyes lit up. "Really?" He nodded. "Come on, let's go celebrate with the others. Ami nodded. She ran to Emil's side. Then the two went to the group, which were already celebrating. For now, the thread of Seed was gone.

....or is it? *dun dun duuuun* People who played PSU will know the answer. One more chapter until I'm done with Part 1. I made Emil a bit OoC (can I even do that with an OC?) But he comes back to the elder mentor type thing in Part 2. Anyone notice that there's no Tyler, Leo, Tonnio and the others? To be honest, I don't like them enough to put them in. Not saying they are bad characters. Just that I really don't feel like writing about them. Oh and I just might do a triple update (double at least) right now. Least I can do for all my non-existent readers.
