I went to One Stop today (gas station where they were hiring) and I didn't get the job. It had been filled.

On the plus side, dad told me about a used car that was for sale. We checked it out, and it's in pretty good condition. If it runs well, dad said we may as well get it for me, so I can get practice driving and get my license.

It's a bit dinged up, and the driver seat is somewhat torn up, (it has a replacement cover on it though.) but dad said they're damn good cars (It's a cougar) and they get good mileage.. and we'll try to get it for around $500-$600, (the guy was asking for $800, but meh~)

Getting kicked in the stones hearing about not getting the job at One Stop hurt my confidence in.. well, everything, but getting a used car that I can actually drive will help a lot.. it'll just make my gloomy outlook that much more positive. Really hoping the car handles well.. we're going to go back out there (It's about 15mins out of town) to see about it, around 1. Guy said he'll be out there waiting for us. I'll go ahead and update this journal entry when I get home from it.

UPDATE
Okay, the car ran pretty well, but it had too many problems to justify the price ($800) so we decided not to get it. Not giving up hope though, and I"m going to reapply at walmart and radioshack, and all that good stuff, so I can hopefully get me a job.. I'm going to use my granpda as a reference (he owns his own business, very small repair shop, I've done a few odd jobs for him) and hopefully that'll make me look better when applying for a job at any other store..
