I'm in a better mood today. I do have random bouts of sadness and depression.
But I think George Harrison/John Lennon is becoming my Beatles OTP. I think I really like it a lot. I find it much better than the John Lennon/Paul McCartney.
I don't know why, but, a lot of writers of John/Paul like to portray Paul as a weak, innocent boy and John is a macho man and has dominating control over Paul. I get tired of that. I don't want to read about Paul being an emotional wreck. I wanna see some depth to his character, add some qualities that are understandable to his character to allow him to stop being an emotional roller coaster. I would like to see Paul grow some balls and take charge in the relationship.
Now with George/Paul, they seem very articulated. Like, they show a depth of their relationship. It's planned out quite cleverly. I do like all of the contrasting moods and emotions that come into the playing field and allows for certain atmosphere's to take hold and make some interesting scenes and scenario's. I like the feel of the stories a lot of the time.
But I would like it if Paul manned up a bit. Even when he ends up taking control, he ends up backing out or becoming all girly all of a sudden. It's quite discouraging to see/read that.
I have a love/hate type of thing with Paul. Sometimes I like him, sometimes I don't like him.
I really still am surprised that there is not a lot of Rolling Stones fan fiction. Being one of the most popular bands today, if not the most one, you'd think there would be more fiction on them. Like Led Zeppelin. The Rolling Stones are one the most slashiest bands out there and there is a lot you could pull up on Mick Jagger alone. Bet a few people know that first han-*shot*. But there isn't. I still would have liked to see the fiction part of their website that they held apparently. That still doesn't mean I'll give up looking for that fiction on them.
Also, on the radio, they are having a Beatles Labor Day weekend. They are going to be playing a lot of Beatles music. Along with the station 94.3 The Eagle, they are counting down 99 of the Beatles most famous songs and having people vote on their favorite. Plus, that station has Beatle Brunch every Sunday from 9am to 12pm. So that station hosts a lot of Beatles stuff. Which also reminds me that the mos played Led Zeppelin song down where I live, to me, seems to be either "Hey Hey What Can I Do" or "Whole Lotta Love".
I've been listening to "Dreams" by Fleetwood Mac. I was in the mood for a slow song, and it happened to pop up faster than a Stones song did. So that's what I have been listening to.
