So many things rushing through my mind,
As I wonder why,
You'd choose me over her,
When she's ten times better.
There are so many things I feel,
But if I try to say them,
I'm sure they won't come out right.
Feeling that pain again,
That I could lose you at any moment.
I know she's better than me,
So why do you stay?
I sit here alone,
Staring out my window,
Wondering if you're okay,
While the God of Music rings through my ears.
He sings to me while when you're gone,
He screams out my longing,
And throws it away.
His words are like poetry.
He takes my pain,
And hides it from me.
He takes my tears,
And lets me scream them away.
Even though he's here,
I still think of you,
And try to figure out,
Why you chose me,
When you could have anyone else.
You know I love you,
You know I need you,
You know you're my life.
Even though I don't know why,
I'm so glad,
That you stayed.
