Shade lay on her back in the snow, the snow flaks fell and landed on her cheeks when she went to stand a voice from afar came and it sounded like it was yelling for something. On impulse Shade started running toward the voice but her long black cape got tangled in her feet and she fell, as her body hit the ground fresh powder flow every were and Shade’s head hurt when she lifted her hand to her forehead the voice came again but now it was on top of her, looking up Shade saw her best friend Princess Mino, eyes glowing with amusement, had on a white cape that was as long as Shade’s which touched the ground when one stud and her hair which was normally white had a silver tint to it and she had it in two buns one on each side with white fabric covering them and her white dress had long sleeves instead of short and Mino’s ears were a little longer then a normal person’s and they were pointed so it looked like she was an elf.
“You look a little out of place down there with your black cape, 90’s style pants, and dark gray dress.” –that is missing the fabric that covers the side of her legs so that there was only fabric in the front and in the back- Mino said mockingly “Well you just blend in to well, your like a ghost or something.” Mino’s eyes got bigger “SHADE YOUR FOREHEAD IS BLEEDING!” Shade removed her hand from her head and looked at it, there was blood on all her figures except for her pinky and thumb and there was a little blood on her black glove –that didn’t cover her figures- “Yea I can feel that.”
Mino watched as Shade’s skin rapidly grows over the cut and in 3 seconds it was like the cut was never there. Shade jumped out of the deep hole she was in and landed beside Mino “Looks like you got here before me.” Shade told Mino looking rather jealous “Hay your right HA you have to listen to me now don’t you.” “Don’t push your luck Mino I might have to listen and stay with you but that doesn’t mean I’ll do as you say.” Mino put her hand up and put her index finger down then her middle finger and put her hand down then put her arm around Shade’s neck “Yep looks like I’ll act as your mom for our third life time.” Shade blinked in astonishment “is it only number three…” Mino put her hand over Shade’s mouth so she couldn’t ignore her like she always did when Mino tried to interrupt “Now wait there a minute buddy old pal this is my fourth and your third.” Shade didn’t push Mino’s hand away just stared at her as to say ‘If you don’t remove your hand I’ll bit it’ obviously Mino knew what she was getting at and pulled her hand away as fast as she could and retorted “if you bit my hand I’ll bit your arm!” Shade looked surprised but faded almost as soon as it appeared on her face and gave a mild chuckle “If you bit my arm I guess we’ll just go into one of our little brawls huh.” Both friends looked at each other for a long time then started laughing together as if on cue, Mino’s eyes started to water and Shade’s gut hurt and after what seemed like an eternity Shade straitened up and said “I haven’t had a good laugh like that in a long time.” Mino stopped laughing immediately and looked sadly at her friend “Shade…dose it hurt?” Mino looked down at the snow covered ground then flung herself at Shade and started crying in her friends arms “dose it hurt knowing that…that when I’m gone you’ll be lonely and nothing but misery and suffering will come to you.” Shade looked down at Mino and unwrapped her right arm and pinched Mino’s side, Mino jumped back and wiped the tears off her face “weren’t you telling me about an hour ago not to think to far in the future? So what are you doing looking that far ahead.” Mino fell into Shade’s arms again and her muffled voice said “What are you going to do…when that happens?”
“I’ll miss you and as for the pain I’ll have to deal with it that’s all.” Shade pushed Mino away and lightly punched her arm “now come on lets go to town and find a hotel before the snow gets to deep to walk through and besides you look cool.” Cheering up a little but still censured Mino faked a smile, started running, and yelled back over her shoulder “I bet I’ll get there first!” Shade ran after her.
