When the pair of them reached town they were as out of place as a black rose in a field of white flowers, every one was in very bright colors and all shades of yellow, light blue, red, and greens with face paint and jewelry. Mino went up to a young lady who’s color theme was all shades of blue and green, she had light blue face paint with emerald green eye shadow and lip stick, she had on a pale green dress with blue for the trim and a beaded necklace that had a green bead then two blue beads and a green bead again.
“Excuse me miss, but what is going on?” the young lady turned around to face Mino and said “I’m surprised you have to ask, haven’t you been to this wonderful town before? Well this is a town tradition it’s when every one in town goes to a party warring these grand colors!” the lady said as she pointed to a man warring all four colors “We are celebrating the gods, each color represents a god. Red is for the goddess of fire, light blue is for the god of water, yellow is the goddess of lightning, and green is the god of earth.” Mino looked puzzled and turned to Shade hoping for an explanation but Shade was watching a parade that came out of no were and obviously wasn’t listening to the young lady’s reply to Mino’s question, turning back to the young lady “why are you celebrating the gods and goddesses of the four elements?” the girl laughed and simply said “why because in this land there are wizards and witches but we don’t belief in using any other magic except for the ones that deal with the four elements and any one who uses magic that doesn’t deal with the four elements the Queen and King arrest them.” At the word ‘arrest’ Shade snapped around to look at the girl then whispered in Mino’s ear “I guess we shouldn’t use our magic in this town.” Mino didn’t say any thing just nodded. The girl strached out her hand and said “I’m Natasha, I like you guys and your friend in all dark colors is very amusing so if you need a place to stay you can stay with me in my house.” Mino shook Natasha’s hand and said that they would be honored to stay with her but as they walked through the back allies so they would get to Natasha’s house faster Shade looked very unhappy about there new sleeping arrangement. The ally walls were the side of houses they all were two-three stories high and the street was made of brick, the walls were a foot away from both shoulders. After they crossed two very wide streets they came to Natasha’s house. It was huge it had a blue banner over the door, yellow door, and the outside was made of brown brick when they went inside the bottom floor was a bakery, the middle floor was half the house with a chimney in a corner, a couch in front of the chimney, a table at the other end of the room with a white lace table cloth and a book shelf to the right of the table and the third floor had all the bed rooms and bath rooms there were five bed room door on the left side of the hall way and to the right were five bath room doors “Your rooms are the two at the end”.
When Shade closed the door to Mino’s room Mino sounded like she was crying “Shade you poor girl we need to get you a new outfit, come!” Mino grabbed Shade’s arm and opened the window and jumped out dragging Shade with her when they hit the ground Mino fell to her knees and Shade bent her knees just enough to absorb the impact, looking down at Mino rubbing her legs Shade remarked “you obviously haven’t jumped out of many windows before.” Mino glared at Shade and stood up “No I haven’t.” sticking her nose in the air Mino finished her statement “I am a lady unlike some. Now come on the I want to get to the best stores before they get to busy.” Grabbing Shade’s hand Mino dragged her all around the town and every clothing store was closed for the festival “Damn it!” yelled Mino turning around to face Shade Mino put her index finger to her cheek “don’t you weary Shade I’ll get you a new outfit!” Shade looked at Mino and rolled her eyes “oh I’m wearied.” As Shade lay in her bed she wondered just how frightening this new outfit Mino was going to get her –with the help of Natasha- was going to be.
