Chapter 6
"Request denied?" asked Hyuga. He, with Ethan and Kyoh were standing in the President's office of the Guardians Headquarters. "But why?" Ethan asked. "Simply," explained Dallgun, "We have no idea as to where Satomora is." "But she's on the Hive. It makes perfect sense sir." Kyoh answered. "Can't you locate her using her life support?" Hyuga asked. "Yes and we started the moment you reported about her abuduction. But..." Then Dallgun stopped speaking. "But?" said Ethan. Lou stepped up in front of the three males. "Miss Satomora's life support shut down about three hours ago." Kyoh's eyes widened at Lou's statement. The other two weren't holding back on their surprised looks as well. "Shut down? She can't be dead." Hyuga said. "Maybe it's being blocked." Ethan suggested. Lou shook her head. "No, the signal is strong enough to be scanned, even on the Hive." Kyoh looked down. He couldn't believe, he wouldn't believe that Ami died. "Can we at least go and confirm the claim?" Kyoh suggested. "The Hive in which the signal was last spotted has been deemed too dangerous to approach by the goverment." Lou informed them. "It almost as if they are hiding something in there." the president spoke, "Now, you are dismissed."
"So?" asked Karen. She stayed outside because not many knew of her temporary reappearance. Ethan shook his head. "Her life support deactivated a few hours ago." Karen was just as surprised as they were when they first heard of it. "We asked to go and confirm it." said Kyoh, "But we were denied that too. Said that it was too much of a hot spot to go right now." Karen took a seat on a chair. "So what now?" Hyuga sighed to himself. "Nothing right now. Until we can find a way to get there. Then we just have to continue our duties."
It was a fairly dark area in the Relics. Silence, with only the humming of the machines that were placed there to examine the site. Then there was the quickened clatter of footsteps. A few Guardians were stationed around the machinery. They are gotten into a stance upon hearing the footsteps. "How did they get past the security?" asked one. Suddenly, in front of them, a figure appeared. One took out a rifle. "Stop, no one is permitted beyond this point." Upon closer inspection, it was a female. She took out a handgun of her own and shot at the Guardians. They quickly fell as the female ran through them. She got up to a terminal and started typing on it. The screen reflected off her goggles. "Stop right there." said a male. The female threw something at the male. It exploded in as a flash of light. When the light died down, she was gone.
"It's been the third one this week alone." mumbled the president. Just as he finished, Emil and Kyoh came in. "You called for us sir?" Emil said. Dallgun nodded. "Yes, I have a mission for you two. Lately, there has been various break-ins at Relics sites. We want you two to accompy Waber, Ryght, and another as we capture who it is." Then he turned to Emil. "Prescott, even though you are medically cleared to go back to work, you sure you can handle this mission?" Emil nodded. "Yes sir, doing desk work doesn't suit me at all. Besides, I have three youngsters to come to my aid." Kyoh asked, "Do we know what to look for?" he asked. Dallgun nodded to Lou. She showed a projection. "This is video surveilance from the latest break-in." As they looked, they saw a feminine figure attacking the two Guardians and getting on teminal. The woman looked up before shooting at the item. "We do not know what to make of this since nothing has been stolen from the Relics." Emil thought about it. "So we know that the person is a woman and hasn't stolen anything. I think that she's copying data to her superiors." Lou nodded. "That's the conculsion we thought of as well. Also, out of all the constant break-ins, there hasn't been a single fatality." Kyoh said, "So we're dealing with a female who hasn't stolen anything and just fights until the guards are unconscious?" Lou nodded again. "Well this makes our work easy."
Later, Emil, Kyoh, Ethan, and Hyuga, with a surprise appearance from Karen were around the terminal of the Relics site. "You sure that they will come to this site?" Ethan asked. "Based on previous patterns, yeah." Emil answered. "That's what Lou says anyway." Kyoh added. Then he looked at Hyuga. "Had any luck about Ami?" He shook his head. "No, there hasn't been anything about her. The Hive with her last known signal is still too dangerous to approach by the goverment. But I still can't figure why she just didn't tell us. She grew up with you Kyoh and the four of us were in training school together." "Yeah and she hated your guts for half the time there." Ethan mumbled. That earned an elbow to the ribs by Karen. "It's true." he said while wincing. "Anyway, we're her friends. Shouldn't we have more trust than that?" Emil started to say, "Well, have you been completely honest with her?" Then he explained, "I don't mean telling her everything. We're Guardians sometimes we have to keep stuff secret. But I mean all you told her is that you'll try. It's moreso that you haven't been honest about your own feelings with her." Then he sighed a bit. "Let's all talk about this later. We still have a mission to complete."
A few hours had passed. Then the lights went out. "Everyone, be on guard." said Emil, while bringing out his sword. "Our 'thief' is here." They took their positions at their hiding locations. The woman looked around with her goggles. "This seems a bit too easy." she said to herself. "That voice is familar." Emil whispered through his comm-unit. Ethan gave a nod and he and Hyuga came from their positions to block her from going the way she came. Emil took the front while Karen and Kyoh took the sides. "Well, well well. I didn't think that you would catch on so quickly." she remarked. Karen took out a handgun. "State who you are and what do you want with these Relics." The woman turned around to be face first with the group. "Wait." said Kyoh. He noticed that the woman had long blue hair, just like Ami's. The only thing was that it was all the way down to her ankles with a bang covering her right eye. She wore a long black coat with a white-ish line sheild making the accents. She also wore a very low cut shirt and exposed her midriff, which was buttoned in the middle by the coat and a short black short and heeled shoes. Her goggles still covered her face. "Alright, alright." The woman raised her hands. Then she opened them, which had bombs falling down. "Everyone, cover your eyes!" Emil shouted. They did was they was told as the flash bombs exploded. The woman delivered a knee into Ethan's stomach, moving out of the way to escape. Hyuga brandished his saber. "I'll go in pursuit."
The woman ran as she could through the site with Hyuga following close behind. Hyuga pressed a button on his goggle piece and a fence appeared around the two, trapping them. "Very smart. I didn't think of that." she said. He could tell that there was something familar about how she talked. There was some seductive hint in her voice, but it still sounded familar. Then she brought out her saber. "Just surrender yourself and we won't have to fight." he said. The woman responded by diving in to attack. He repelled the attack and counterattacked. She flipped backwards, then laughed. "Finally, someone who actually knows how to attack. The two exchanged blows back to back for a while. Hyuga managed to slash at her head. She avoided, but not without her goggles being destroyed in the process. "We've restored the power." Emil said through the comm-unit. The lights came out, with the woman wincing at the suddenly shift in light. She turned to look at him. Hyuga nearly dropped his saber when he saw a sky blue eye looking at him. "No, is it really you?" She took a step back when Hyuga came closer. "Ami, I thought you died."
She looked at him confused. 'Ami? Is that my name?' Ami, shook her head. "I don't know who you're talking about." She put away her saber and began attacking using punches. Now that Hyuga knew it was Ami, all he could do was block, trying to get any glimpse of her face. Just knowing that she was alive made him a bit at ease. She deliever a kick to his chest. He got knocked back a little, but not before seeing the top of a ring-like shape on her right ankle. Then Ami brought out a handgun and aimed it for Hyuga. "It was fun, but I can't let you live now." "Ami! Stop! Don't you remember who I am?" he asked. She hesitantly kept her finger on the trigger. She began remembering seeing pieces of a girl who looked like her with her enemy. "Come..." said a voice. "Magashi-sama." she said. Ami looked at Hyuga and pulled the trigger. It barely grazed him on the arm. Then she threw him something. "I don't know who you are, but it would be a shame if you died before I get a fair chance to fight you again." She turned around and began leaving.
Ami came out of the Relics with Magashi meeting her. "You have the data?" he asked. She threw him a disc. "I only got half Magashi-sama. Those Guardians acutally set something up for my arrival." She couldn't get the images out of her head. Then Magashi placed a tight grip on her arm. "Then why didn't you kill them?" She gave a glare. Ami didn't remember why or how she met Magashi, but she knew that she didn't like him at all. "What I do is none of your concern. I'm getting you information, that's all that matters." She released herself and walked into the ship.

About five chapters left until the end. To make it easier. Once the two are finished, I will make a journal entry to group them all together. To make it a bit easier. Oh and I have decided that I will write a Part 3 after I post a couple drabbles and get a bit far in actually typing it. Right now, it's in the thinking stages.
Next Chapter: Did she really forget?
