Poor Doormat

There you are knocking on my door.
Trying to tell me that same story,
With you in the red dress,
Throwing up words you couldn't dare confess.
What else should I do but lay back down.

I've no recollection of nights we spent in total faith.
You walk with the dead,
And I know you leave me at night,
Just to give little ones a fright.
Your bones bleed noise.
A foolish girl,
Versus an apathetic boy.

I take this drag hoping I lose you in the smoke.
My Saturdays turn to Mondays when your there.
I'm sorry for the wrong i've done,
But it felt like a necessary evil.
Are you to judge with your deathly touch?

I wish these pictures would burn out of life,
Can someone hear me calling.
My heart is stuck in the toilet,
Won't you help me flush it down?

So tell your friends minus one tonight
And before I say something blunt,
Rush our life our your mind.
So it's better for you to get out of mine.

The memory of you will always remain,
Remain in my door it will.
So please love stop knocking,
There's just no reason for me to wake up,
No reason to answer.
