Hey Everyone...
Forgive me for this one... it might be a negative entry but then again thats what a journal's for right?? For putting in your thoughts and that's exactly what I'm going to do.
A few days ago, I was watching a movie and the ending scene showed the happy couple and the woman was pregnant. It was a typical happy ending where the couple aspires to have a perfect family. Cute right?
True, it's something that we all wish for... but maybe it's something that you only find in movies. See, for one thing, everyone has their problems, no matter what happens in life. I mean, of course you'll always wish for the perfectly happy family, but how many people really actually get that?
Again, forgive me for being pessimistic right now but I'm just being honest for once. Sometimes, we just have to stop and think about what's reality and what's fantasy. Fantasy are the things we wish and aspire for (can be impossible or possible, regardless of the fact its still a fantasy, a wish if you like). Reality are the things that are sitting right in front of us.
Most of the time, we don't like reality because it doesn't match up with our fantasies, but during the times that we do like reality, it might just be us taking things for granted.
See, in my opinion, I think there's just no pleasing people in this world. Say you do achieve your goal of having a perfect family, of course there will be those who will admire you, but there will also be those who will see you as being too much of a perfectionist or something along those lines. But on the other hand, when you try too hard to prove to people that you're not a perfectionist, people will just think that you're careless. It's a crazy world we live in.
So why did I make such a negative and ranting entry? Because I believe that to make things better, we have to look at things in the long run and learn to accept them. When you finally learn to do that, then you can work towards a solution. Time is your best friend as well as your worst enemy. Waiting is excrutiating, but completely worth it. This is what I believe in and it may be cliche, but its something that I just wanna share with the people who are a little down and feel like there's no hope.
So, maybe a perfect family is impossible because there is no such thing as truly perfect. But to me, a perfect family, or perfection in general, is nothing more than true and complete happiness. It sounds impossible, but trust me, when you feel it, you'll know.
