Arnath's Journal
Chapter 5 - Dreams
"What was my father like?" Arnath asked. He was often curious enough to ask him questions, his deepening voice speaking many.

"He was an honorable man," Sephiroth said. "Nothing often bothered him, except his own lack of direction. He had many dreams of which he wished to accomplish."

A moment passed as Arnath thought to himself. "And do you think this, Dragons of Earth, will fulfil one of his dreams?"

Sephiroth laughed aloud to himself. "One of his dreams. If it could even be defined as hisI wanted the Utopia just as much as he. Twas a dream of us both."

Arnath smiled, walking next to the wagon as Sephiroth steered it. Horses pulling the wagon were walking slowly since the heat made it tiring to do much otherwise. Looking ahead, the sun was gradually descending below the trees. Within a few hours, the temperature would undoubtedly drop.

"When we arrive at Witwood, how bout I buy you a drink?" Arnath offered.

Sephiroth turned his head at the suggestion, looking him in the eyes and smiling. "That would be marvelous."

After arriving at the nearest tavern, the two companions sat at a table. Arnath had matured much being around him. They drank and laughed, sharing stories of the past and ideas of the future. After a while, Sephiroth suggested the idea that they begin recruiting for the new group. With enthusiasm he stood and gathered the attention of the tavern occupants.

"Men! Brothers! Listen, for I have much to tell!" Sephiroth began. "My history is deep and I have much experience to tell you that those ancient revolutionaries and attempts at starting powerful families of warriors in the past failed for reason. Such reason lies in their lack of understanding. Join us in our quest for tranquility and join our group of seekers, who look to create our perfect society. This shall be the greatest of guilds, truly! The Dragons of Earth shall prove themselves to history! Those who oppose us, their attempts shall be in vain!" Standing on the table and shouting sure did get the attention of the occupants. The tavern-keeper kicked the disturbing man out of the tavern. Yet sure enough, the people listened and joined them outside.

One man grinned in the crowd, showing his sharp teeth. Peach fingers grasped a dagger at his side, which were enchanted of fire from a warlocks spell, as a brown strap on both sides of him revealed two more daggers to be shown under the straps on either side. "Ha!" he laughed as he crossed his arms, "Why should a man such as myself join thisthing."

Arnath looked toward the man who spoke. "What is thy name, which belongs to a man such as yourself?" he asked.

The man grinned once again. "If you surely must know then I shall tell ye."

After a moment of suspense, Arnath yelled, "Well? What is thy name?"

The man laughed to himself, before answering. "Sifl. Is all you need? Then good, why dont you continue."

Arnath looked about the people a bit aggravated. Without saying another word, another noticeable character within the crowd lifted his sword out of his scabbard and raised it high above his head. "Aye! Im in!"

At that sign, every man around him grabbed their weapons and did the same. Arnath and Sephiroth looked around, almost surprised of the number of recruits. They all held their weapons high with excited expressions. The group was surely to be remembered.

A few months had gone by and the Dragons of Earth had made much progress in their efforts. Gangs and groups of destructive rebels were defeated, and supplies remained plentiful, even with the expanding number of men willing to join as they traveled. Though Sephiroth had decided to leave one day, after speaking to Arnath.

"Ill be leaving," he said. "But Ill tell you I have a son." Arnath nodded. "His name is Sephfireka. If you ever meet him, tell him you knew his father. He is about the same age as you."

"Will do," Arnath said, saluting the man.

Sephiroth nodded to Sifl who stood leaning against a tree and returned the same. Turning around he began walking as Arnath and Sifl continued down the road.

"I wonder how he is doing," Sephiroth said to himself.
